Coronavirus Updates
Update from the Regional Director
Dear Parents,
As of now Saint John Paul II Catholic Academy will be closed until April 7th. Due to the fluidity of the situation, we will stay in communication when any other decisions are made. Please check the website for the most updated information. Parents should note that students should not come to campus and there will not be any access to the school buildings.
The SJPIICA faculty diligently prepared meaningful academic work for your child to complete while we go through this unprecedented health issue. Your child brought home work in all subject areas, and this work is a combination of review and new material. Please know that your child’s teacher(s) is available to answer any questions that you may have during our normal school hours of 8 am to 2:30 pm. The teachers want to be able to help you support your child’s learning while we navigate this situation remotely. We are looking into online resources to support their learning and any extended time.
We know that not all students have access to technology so teachers will be reaching out with assignments and updates via RENWEB and other platforms that students currently use. We will not be expecting any family to use a platform or complete assignments that use a new technology. Our teachers and staff are sensitive to and know our students and families. Teachers will be communicating with families on a consistent and regular basis. If you have any concerns, please contact your campus principal.
All principals and staff will be available by email each day from 8 am to 2:30 pm for immediate questions. All staff will be responding to emails after hours with an expectation of a 24 hour turn around. Principals will continue to communicate weekly with families during this time off with updates, news and information.
Our business office will keep normal hours of 8-4 pm. Please communicate via email to them. We are unable to communicate through the phones but are looking into some alternatives.
